Hide a shared folder on the network

1. Right click the folder and click sharing and security.
2. Give a shared name of a folder plus $ sign e.g. study$.
3. In this way network users will not be able to see the shared folder on the network.
4. For you to see the hidden shared folder, map the drive and type in the path including the $ sign in the folder box.
